About Us

Martin Mungai is an Energy professional, with over 15 years’ experience in the areas of financial management and commercial advisory in oil and gas. Martin has a deep understanding of the petroleum value chain, having worked in both upstream and midstream sectors. His most recent assignment was at the Ministry of Petroleum & Mining, where he set up systems for economic modelling and fiscal analysis, and mentored a team to carry out the functions. He led the set up and automation of Production Sharing Contract (PSC) compliance system at the Ministry and oversaw the first ever cost recovery audit in Kenya’s Petroleum Upstream sector.

He has held various leadership positions in Finance at National Oil Corporation of Kenya in the past, where he streamlined business portfolio management, budgeting, project appraisal, financial reporting and external audits. Worked also at Total Kenya Limited in Finance department where he participated in enhancement of treasury management and review of distribution network controls.

Martin is graduated in Finance from Nairobi University Business School, and holds a Global Energy Executive MBA from Calgary University – Haskayne School of Business.
